OBBB Act Could Shift Claims to WC (Aug ’25)

Three notes in our August Assured Briefing addressed the possible impact of the OBBB Act on workers’ compensation. In short, we envision two scenarios where claims are shifted from medical to WC insurance. 1) Someone losing access to Medicaid or an ACA policy who opts not to purchase a group health policy (or, doesn’t have the choice), and 2) Someone who switches from a Medicaid/ACA policy to a high deductible group health plan.
