NY Puts Insurers in Crosshairs? (Jan ’26)

An investor alert issued mid-January suggested that the Gov. of NY had put personal insurers in the crosshairs. That’s not how we see it. The auto reforms in Gov. Hochul’s newly launched affordability campaign appear to be taken from a page in a trade association’s playbook. The HO reforms, however, could be more problematic.
