Inflation Alert: Pressures on Liability Claims Ticked Higher in April (May ’25)

We’ve been tracking a blended series of medical, wage, and legal costs drawn from the BLS’ PPI series for several years and can’t remember many months where all 3 ticked notably higher. The rising medical trend is a function of physician and hospital costs (in and outpatient), while legal inflation is on fire; even wage inflation ticked higher in April.
