Hurricanes and HO Pricing (Oct. ’24)

In an Assured Comment released after Hurricane Milton we argued that (re)insurers should proceed with caution when considering its pricing reaction. In our view, the political backlash from another sharp market correction could prove counterproductive. HO insurance has grown to become a major budget item commensurate with food and transportation in some states.
